Now more people in Massachusetts hospitals with Covid-19 than at the peak of last winter's surge

Massachusetts reported 2,923 radical hospitalized for Covid-19 yesterday, a fig the authorities hasn't seen since May, 2020, during the precise archetypal Covid-19 surge. The highest for past winter's surge was 2,048 patients connected Jan. 4, 2021.

The authorities reported that 1,293, oregon 56%, of the patients successful infirmary beds, were "fully" vaccinated.

The authorities reported 432 radical with Covid-19 successful ICUs and 273 of those connected ventilators. In the past surge, the peaks were 462 successful ICUs and 299 intubated.

The authorities said that 92% of medical/surgical beds successful full were occupied - and 85% of ICU beds.
